Catherine Christer Hennix - SOLITON(E) STAR

Like much of Catherine Christer Hennix’s work in logic, mathematics, the visual arts, and music, the creation of Soliton(e) Star is a gesture that contains idiosyncratic hypotheses, critique, and speculation. The work is what Hennix calls “infinitary composition”, a type of compositional authorship that not only has no beginning nor end (as is the norm in much of audio-based installation work and sound art) but goes much further to claim that all locations between these two points signify every other point simultaneously.
